On Sunday, like we do each first of the month, we gather for a worship service in English. All the missionaries around the area are invited. Especially on the months where we decide to have a potluck meal beforehead. This week was one of those days. So, about 60 of us gathered together for the service. We would have gone to the chapel after our picnic. But, it was a beautiful day and we had such a nice crowd, that we had church outside in the "haus win"...gazebo/shelter. We had missionaries from Kudjip of course, along with ones from CLTC-christians leaders training center, the Bible college, the Swiss missions, and MAF-missionary aviation fellowship. And even though it was an English speaking service, we had people from: America, England, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, South Africa, Fiji, Australia, and New Zealand. What a wonderful gathering! The service included the congegration singing and then the MK children recited memory verses. After that, they sang three songs we have been working on in music class. It was so cute to watch them sing "Peace like a River", "Jesus is Life", and "Amazing Love". I was proud of them, they remembered their words and motions and sang loudly! Then we had a special treat. Two MK sisters from the Swiss mission recited Matthew 7:7 in FIVE languages! English, French, Italian, German, and Pidgin! It was really lovely and what a great reminder to "ask, seek, and knock...then the door will be open to you!". I felt like we experienced a little piece of Heaven, where all nations will praise the Lord and come together in unity. Lord may it be so on earth as it is in Heaven!
