We are so priveleged to host many work and witness teams throughout each year. Mike and Diane Chapman do all the coordinating. Well, this particular team was called the Mississippi team, but they were really from all over. There ended up being quite a mix of folks. There were a few construction or lay workers that helped lay the foundation for a new staff housing. Then there were a few ladies, doing cooking, and Judy, who used to be a nurse that helped a bit in the hospital. There were also a number of young ladies, from 13-19. Ashley, is a little girl who is a missionary kid. What a sweetie! She was willing to do whatever was asked. I know she helped at the work site, gave out supplies at the hospital and helped in the kitchen. She wants to do missions when she is older. I also was pleased to be able to teach Morgan, a young nursing student. She shadowed me in clinic for about a week. She was also so thrilled to see something, she would say, " I have only read about this in books!". Her enthusiasm was contagious! We had a cute encounter with little Immanuel. He was being shy and hiding behind his mom. Finally I said what is wrong, and he said, "mi laikim em"...which basically means he loves her! too cute! So finally we got him to shake Morgan's hand, he was pretty enamoured with her. It was nice to have them all and you just never know how they touched us, our national friends, patients, or how God touched them through the experience.
