On Saturday, we finally decided to have a more restful day. We just enjoyed sleeping in a bit and have a leisurely time of shopping in Cairns. We walked along the Esplanade, which is the waterfront area in Cairns. They have made it so nice for tourists, with side walks, parks, even a huge outdoor pool. Then Matt and I had dinner at a Mexican restaurant! It was so nice to enjoy tortilla chips that were fresh! haha. We had a wonderful trip, and I know I will never forget my engagement week. Not to mention the blessings of being able to spend time with Matt' s family and to be in a western culture for a time. The next morning I flew home back to PNG. Thankful for the time I had away and for such a godly man in my life. God is good, he provides more than we could ask or imagine.
