The day after going inland, we headed to the water. This time to Greenn Island. We met up with the whole family at the marina. This is the view we had at night on my engagement day, so beautiful with all the boats! So, Katie, Alex, Kim, Steve, Matt and I got on our boat with a group and headed on about an hour ride out to the Great Barrier Reef. We landed on this little island called Green Island. It was a cold ride, but lovely scenery. Then the island itself was very well maintained. They have made it a resort complete with boardwalks, restaurants and all. We headed straight for the beach. It was so nice to sunbathe and snorkel. We finally saw some great fish! Some were huge, greater than a foot long, and others were tiny. Seeing the amazing diversity and colors just reminds me how great God is! We enjoyed our day out there and were glad that even Matt's parents got in on the snorkelling! Katie and Alex swam with sea turtles! It was a really great outing. One we hope to do again!!
