My dearest grandma, Gerry Hilton-Glidewell died July 14th, 2011. She had been struggling with her ovarian cancer for over a year. I was saddened that I couldn't be home to share in the grief of her passing with my family. However, I was so blessed to know that she was with Christ, in Heaven, whole-new-full of joy. She was with her Savior! I was able to write a letter that was read during the celebration of life service. I did my best to capture her sweet spirit, her giving and servant's heart, and her love for Jesus. Her biggest desire was that every child that she touched would come to know Christ. She served for over 40 years with Child Evangelism Fellowship and taught Sunday School (among other ministries) at her church for over 50 years. Now that is serious dedication. She did it with joy and with passion. I will miss her dearly, but am so grateful for her life, her love, and her legacy. Someday I will see her again, when I join her in God's kingdom. I love you grandma!!
